"We own this company. This is not just a job for us, it's our passion." That's the mantra at Independent Fabrications, the newest member of the Signature Cycles family of custom handbuilt bikes. Independent Fabrications received the Bicycling Editors Choice Award in 2005 and 2006 for their XS road bike, confirming that these are not hollow words. "IF" as the company is more commonly known, is located in Somerville, Massachusetts, and has a long history building some of the finest bicycles in the world.
Primarily known for their mountain and cyclocross bikes, IF brings to the table a full menu of custom rides. Their state of the art materials and techniques, combined with perhaps the sexiest paint jobs in the bike world, delivers bicycles that perform while turning heads.
