January Resolution 26 Signature Cycles IG Story HR Edit

PAS NORMAL JANUARY RESOLUTION 2026 RECAP

Taking part in this challenge for the third time has truly become a highlight of our yearly goals. It continues to inspire healthy habits and motivates us to get on the bike throughout January—even when the weather is at its coldest.

There were definitely moments when skipping a ride crossed my mind, especially toward the end when my body was really craving a break. But keeping the goal of 20 miles per day in mind was key. Missing a day would only mean extra miles later, making the challenge even harder. The thought of not finishing was usually enough motivation to gear up and get it done.

This month has been exceptionally cold, making it difficult to ride outside as a group for long periods of time. Thankfully, our community—and the support of Zwift—helped us adapt by organizing virtual group rides. What could have been a setback turned into an opportunity to stay connected and support one another through the toughest part of the season.

I didn’t ride outdoors much due to the harsh conditions. I spent about 80% of the month riding indoors, and I couldn’t have done it without the PAS Summer line for indoor cycling. The baselayer was perfect for keeping my core temperature stable, and the shorts were incredibly comfortable—making it easy to focus fully on the rides.

Choosing the right bike really depends on the road conditions. My gravel bike offers great stability, while my road bike is ideal for speed. That said, I recently upgraded my indoor setup with Zwift’s new Ride, which is designed specifically for indoor stability and fit. Its adjustable features allow me to replicate my road bike position perfectly. One standout detail is the handlebars, which combine a traditional design with a built-in gaming interface—making it much easier to navigate Zwift while riding. It’s a huge upgrade compared to using a road bike on a trainer.

A special note to add is 8/10 of the January Resolution Finishers were female, riding over 8000km between them and all within the Signature Cycles Women's Team. Go girls!

After three years, this challenge has officially earned its place in our annual calendar, and it’s played a huge role in helping us build healthier habits at the start of the year. Thanks to our collaboration with PAS Normal Studios, we also received custom bags to award the first ten finishers. It was especially inspiring to see that eight of those ten were women from our team—such an amazing achievement!

My advice for those considering completing the challenge next year: take it easy. It’s a long journey, and breaking your rides into smaller segments can make it much more manageable. Since much of the challenge will likely be spent indoors, making sure your bike fit and saddle setup are dialed is essential. And be ready for a lot of laundry—you’ll be surprised how quickly cycling gear piles up! Treat your kit gently by using a mild liquid detergent and avoiding the dryer to help it last longer. Lastly, joining group rides or finding a community can make the whole indoor riding experience far more enjoyable.

I want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our rides, embraced the challenge, and especially to those who completed it. Your energy and commitment truly made this month something special.

Can't wait for next year!
