Abraham's Scarab Letras 'NYC Theme'

Abraham’s Scarab is a BOTW part two, following Karen’s previously featured Scarab. This stunning pair of bikes mark the couple’s 10 year wedding anniversary and feature incredible paint schemes, with details special to Abraham and Karen.

With Abraham’s Colombian heritage, the choice of Scarab was fitting for this pair of lightweight steel bikes. The paint scheme was devised in collaboration with its creator Alex Kliment, with Abraham’s black and white scheme complementing Karen’s pink and white. Small details add that personal touch, such as the NYC skyline, Colombian and American flags and wedding rings.

As with Karen’s Letras, Abraham has made this steel bike super light with rim brakes and carbon finishing kit. Abraham is super happy with how the bike feels; “it climbs so well, you feel like you’re dancing up the climbs”. This is all due to the stiffness and responsiveness of the frame, something Abraham knows all about. “There are seven factors that determine ride performance; optimal fit, torsional & lateral stiffness, vertical compliance, vibrational damping, weight, durability and frame geometry. Each of those factors were considered in creating this unique custom bike”.

At a merest glance it’s obvious to see how special this bike it, but it’s the small personal details that really make. Together with Karen’s, this is a true unique pair of custom bikes.
