Alex's Passoni Titanio

This week, we're excited to feature Alex's new Passoni Titanio.

Nothing brings us more joy than opening our inbox to find a header that reads "build a dream custom bike inquiry." That was the case with Alex. He reached out through our updated website to begin the process of constructing his dream bike.

As an experienced rider who enjoys road biking, Alex has owned several carbon bikes but wanted to switch to a titanium frame. He sought a ride that was not only smooth and comfortable but also stylish—something unique and timeless. After browsing our "Bike of the Week" page, Alex kept coming back to the Passoni Titanio. He was captivated by the frame’s clean and elegant design, as well as the hand-glazed welds and the carbon cockpit. Initially, Alex had concerns about the frame's reputation for being too stiff or heavy. However, after we explained that each Passoni frame is customized and that the tubing can be shaped to meet his riding preferences, it was clear that Passoni was the right choice for him.

Drawing inspiration from a previous project, Alex desired a fully integrated and sleek design. Passoni aims to keep their bikes as Italian as possible. They have a great partnership with Deda Elementi, so for this project we used the Deda Alanera handlebar and the Columbus Futura fork, which provide a very clean and modern aesthetic. Equipped with a Shimano Dura-Ace groupset and Lightweight Meilenstein wheels, it offers incredible smoothness and directness. The frame delivers fantastic power transfer, and the titanium construction provides a unique and comfortable ride.

To enhance the build, we incorporated a CeramicSpeed OSPW and a CeramicSpeed bottom bracket. These bearings significantly improve the bike's smoothness and enhance an already exceptional shifting experience.
