ALLEN'S PARLEE TTIR DISC

This week we feature Allen’s Parlee TTiR Disc.

Allen came to us thanks to a referral from a friend, because you know, friends don’t let friends ride without being properly fitted by Signature Cycles.

Allen started riding during the pandemic, so is still reasonably new to the sport. Soon after, he began taking on triathlons and following some successful events on his Specialized Shiv, decided that a professional fit was a logical next move to access performance gains and ensure his bike was properly set up for his measurements. Due to COVID and store closures, at the time he purchased it he was not able to get properly dialled in.

Simultaneously, Allen was interested in looking at a new bike, one with more modern features that made use of newer cycling technologies such as disc brakes, electronic components and smart gear ratios.

When he was in the shop, we spoke through some of our favourite options and before we knew it, Allen had selected a new weapon of choice; the Parlee TTiR Disc.

The TTiR is a favourite time trail come aero bike here at Signature because it is a bike designed to fit its rider. We believe that to be both aero and efficient, the first real consideration is does the bike perfectly fit and the owner and allow them to get into the optimum position to ride comfortably. This is especially relevant when it comes to time trial bikes, and this is what Parlee brings to the table, an extremely fast ride that is totally committed to stability.

According to Parlee themselves, every centimetre of the TTiR is designed to help you gain time on your competition. Aerodynamically integrated SpeedShield™ carbon fairings hide the flat-mount callipers and disc rotors from the wind without causing them to overheat. A Parlee-exclusive seat post design lets you adjust the seat up to seven degrees so you can dial in an optimal balance of comfort and power output. The flex-fit modular cockpit also adapts to a wider range of positions.

To complete the build and satisfy Allen’s desire for the latest tech, we installed the SRAM Red/Force AXS wireless groupset. We also used the ENVE Foundation 45 Carbon Tubeless Disc wheelset.

Allen has several 2023 race ambitions that include Lake placid and a few others. We believe this beautiful machine is going to allow him to crush PR’s and raise his level. We’ll be cheering you all the way, Allen!
