ANDREA'S SCARAB PARAMO

Today’s BOTW is Andrea’s amazing Scarab Paramo. Elegant in stature, hand-built by highly skilled craftsmen and beautiful to ride; Scarab’s have it all.

Scarab offers amazing quality paired with wild paint jobs that are competitively priced. Each bike is not only a unique work of art, but also a well considered package that maximizes value. Custom bikes couldn’t be easier, and when they say custom… they mean it! Every single frameset are hand-built in co-owner Abraham’s home country of Colombia.⁠

This project means a lot to us since it marks the start of a new chapter in Andrea’s life, who is new to the sport. Cycling has quickly become Andrea’s passion and we believe she couldn’t have started her two wheeled journey better.

Shortly after deciding on a Scarab Paramo, Andrea bought herself a plane ticket to Colombia to personally meet the Scarab team, taking the custom experience to the next level! On her trip to the factory she saw first hand how each bike is built, helping to decide on some of the finer details for her build.

As a talented photographer Andrea has a great eye, so the paint scheme was always going to be important. The frame features a beautiful Alfa Blue fade to Pink with some special details, including a Rhino on the down-tube and her name and camera on the top tube.

You’ll be astounded to learn that Andrea’s first time on a road bike was during this trip, when she rented a bike to explore the local towns! After only a few miles of riding two things became immediately apparent; one, cycling is amazing and two, Colombia is beautiful! It’s easy to see how cycling legends such as Nairo Quintana and Egan Bernal honed their skills in this special part of South America.

We know that Andrea has not stopped smiling since taking this trip, and that smile only grew bigger when she picked up the finished bike.

Finished with a Boyd GVL alloy wheelset, Zipp Service Course cockpit and SRAM Wireless Rival AXS, this bike not only looks amazing, but sounds it too!
