Andy's Colnago Y1Rs

This week, we are featuring a one-of-a-kind bike: Andy's latest addition to his stunning collection.

As a cycling aficionado, Andy, like many of us, watched Tadej Pogačar win almost every race he entered this year. His exceptional ability to attack, particularly on uphill sections, captured Andy's attention. What impressed him even more was that during the Tour de France, Tadej opted to use the same aero/race-oriented bike on both the climbing stages and the time trial!

The Colnago Y1Rs was released in our area back in March. We had the opportunity to unveil this beautiful bike at the Ferrari dealership, and it was fascinating to see clients taking photos of the bikes instead of the stunning cars. The Y1R-s is one of those bikes that ignites the imagination; it's the perfect poster bike, ideal for any aspiring young cyclist dreaming of owning a superbike.

After our event at Ferrari, Andy reached out and asked us to set aside the first Y1R that came through our doors. Thanks to our friends at Colnago America, we not only secured the correct size for Andy but also managed to get one of the limited edition World Champion colors created specifically to celebrate Tadej's victory!

The fitting data is crucial to ensure the bike is optimal for the rider. Given our previous work with Andy on brands like Bastion and FiftyOne, we had clear data to help make this project a reality. Once we secured the frame, we explored various group options for the build. 

Since the bike is Italian and Campagnolo had recently launched a new 13-speed wireless group, it was a natural choice to incorporate their components. When the conversation shifted to the wheels, there was only one clear option for this project: like Team UAE, we decided to go with the new ENVE PRO 4.5 wheels, which felt like the right fit.

In conclusion, we were thrilled to secure such a unique bike for Andy. This is one of the best parts of what we do—finding unique and exclusive items and bringing them to our clients!
