Claudio's Colnago C72

This week, we are excited to feature Claudio’s Colnago C72.

Claudio is an Italian veteran cyclist with a deep passion for the sport. He visited our new Darien location during our opening event with one mission: to see the new Colnago C72 we were unveiling.

Having just returned from the global launch at the iconic La Scala opera theater in Milan, we were still inspired by the craftsmanship and 72 years of experience behind this handmade frame. Speaking with an Italian native about such a storied brand was a special experience for our team.

While our showroom is filled with incredible bikes from around the world, Claudio only had eyes for one. The C72 in red and black was the perfect match. As a native of Milan and a devoted AC Milan fan, he wouldn't have it any other way; when we mentioned the blue and black option, Claudio laughed and shook his head—those colors were far too close to their rivals, Inter Milan.

To make this a true Italian masterpiece, we swapped the stock components for a full Campagnolo Super Record wireless groupset and Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO wheels. This is more than just a bicycle; it is a dream build for a rider who truly appreciates the craftsmanship of a handmade frame.

We believe every bike has a rightful owner. We are convinced that when Colnago was building this frame in Cambiago—just miles from Claudio’s hometown—his name was already written on it.
