This week, we are absolutely thrilled to showcase Gary's amazing Sturdy Cilla!

We’ve been counting down the days to share this exciting moment with all of you—introducing our first Sturdy gravel bike, which is fully 3D printed by the fantastic team at Sturdy Cycles!

Meet Gary, a passionate cyclist who loves exploring innovative products. He rides through every season and enjoys the warmth of Florida during those chilly winter months, cycling comfortably in shorts and short sleeves. Recently, inspired by his friends and the vibrant autumn season, he knew it was the perfect time to seek out a gravel bike. The big question for Gary was: which gravel bike would be his match? After diving into all the fantastic options with our partners, Gary was drawn to our latest creation with Sturdy Cycles.

A quick chat with Tom Sturdy in the UK opened up a world of possibilities, leading to the creation of one of the most beautiful bikes we’ve ever crafted! Tested by a member of the Great Britain team at the 2024 Gravel World Championships, this model has proven it can hold its own on the racecourse, showcasing that titanium isn’t just lightweight but also incredibly strong!

For Gary, this journey was about more than just trying a new manufacturer; he was equally excited to incorporate the cutting-edge electronic components from TRP. His goal? To install the new Classified two-speed rear hub, setting the standard for the best gear range on the market! With an 11-40 cassette matched with a 42t chainring, with the Classified system, Gary will experience an impressive gear range of 500% in the rear, making any gravel incline a breeze!

We meticulously hand-built the rear wheel with a Classified hub, lacing it to a set of ENVE 4.5 carbon rims, and outfitted it with 700x40c Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H tires to ensure top performance on both pavement and gravel.

To top off this stunning project, Gary wanted to add a splash of color inspired by his previous custom builds, such as his Bastion Superleggera and FiftyOne Custom Road. He aimed for a way to add vibrancy without overpowering the gorgeous raw titanium. Inspired by a mummy style paint job, we collaborated with Sturdy to incorporate striking black and purple stripes in cerakote. The result is absolutely breathtaking!
