Guillermo's Parlee Z-Zero GT

This week we're featuring Guillermo's Parlee Z-Zero GT.

Guillermo is a discerning collector with excellent taste and a true appreciation for the processes involved in the creation of a dream bike.  He knows what a bike should be; a functional piece of art that has something to say.

Every bike in someone's personal stable tells a story, as a proud owner of a Colnago Steelnovo, he enjoys combining modern technology with vintage aesthetics.  In a world of more and more aero everything, it's always refreshing to see a bicycle-shaped bicycle with classic lines and round tubes.

Guillermo wanted to upgrade his current Parlee with something even lighter that would allow him to climb faster, and when he saw the new GT model he was very excited to learn that Parlee upgraded his favorite bike ever.  In keeping with his aesthetic tendencies, he wanted something elegant but also unique so he decided to incorporate the original Parlee logo that was first seen in 2001 on the Z1 model, a perfect nod to the evolution of the line.

When it came to selecting the group, we agreed that the new Campagnolo Super Record 13 speed platform is the best investment for a super bike and we paired the best Campagnolo wheels for style.  The G3 spoke lacing pattern is undeniably good looking and the C-Lux finish on the rims perfectly compliments the waxed unidirectional carbon on the frame. The waxed raw carbon finish is a style that Parlee has claimed as their own and really highlights the exceptional craftsmanship of the frame construction.

The fully integrated two piece cockpit is made by Darimo, a Spanish company known for their ultralight handmade carbon and aluminum components.  This might be the most minimal looking fully integrated two piece set up currently available and is a testament to the intersection of sculptural elegance and high performance.  A perfect example of blending form and function with a striking result.
