Joel's Superleggera

We’re featuring Joel’s magnificent Bastion Superleggera for today’s ‘Bike of the Week’.

We love Joel here at Signature Cycles. This is his 3rd custom bike with us, and with each one he keeps pushing the bar higher and higher. So our job to create something new and improved was quite a task; what can you sell to someone who already has an amazing titanium Seven and a beautiful Parlee? Well a 3D printed titanium/carbon bike of course!

Bastion are a brand that we feel privileged to work with. Not only are we one of the only stockists on the East Coast, but they are such a forward thinking company who make really progressive bikes. We love just having them in the shop to marvel at.

Like many of our clients, Joel already has a high end carbon frame. This creates the question, what can you do differently when creating a similar bike? By mixing frame materials, Bastion have created the type of super light weight bike you’d expect from carbon, but introduced the balance and playfulness of a more rugged bike.

Joel chose an emerald green in a beautiful matte finish that has a hint of purple in certain lights. This subtle, yet elegant paint job makes for a truly unique bicycle.

We are so happy for Joel with this new build, and already are starting to plan some big trips together in 2023. Perhaps one of our European tours with their beautiful and distinctive roads will be the perfect match!
