Joel's Scarab Paramo

This week we're excited to feature Joel's Custom Scarab Paramo

Joel is a Stamford local who walked into Signature a few months back and had a new bike on his mind.  After discussing which options would suit him best, Scarab was a clear choice for a rider of his impressive power.

Every Scarab is made to order, and each frame is tailored to its rider's weight and riding style.  If you're a lightweight, you get lightweight tubes with smaller diameters and thinner walls.  If you're heavier with more power to put down, Scarab's artisans select more robust tubes with larger diameters and thicker walls.  This methodology achieves the perfect balance of stiffness and compliance for the rider, ensuring the perfect blend of performance and comfort.

For the build, we had to go with a fully integrated cockpit for ultimate style points and nobody does that better than ENVE.  To keep the aesthetics harmonized and the build high quality, the fork and seatpost are also ENVE.  The Boyd Reiver wheelset is amazingly strong for its low weight at just 1385g.

For the custom paint, Joel knew almost exactly what he wanted.  He had seen some impressive work on Scarab's social media and particularly loved one with a watercolor style paint job.  With very little guidance, Joel designed one of the coolest paint jobs we've had the pleasure to display in our new Darien location.  He chose the base color and specified a vertical watercolor fade from blue to grey to black and it turned out amazingly well.
