Joe's Parlee Taos

This week, we are featuring Joe's Parlee Taos.

It brings us an immense sense of pride to present Joe's new bike.
Joe is literally one of the nicest clients we have, Joe has taken a few trips with us abroad and twice he has brought each of his daughters along so they can ride with us and spend some awesome time together.

We've known Joe for over 15 years and he gets a bike every 4-5 years or so. This is his 3rd bike with us! 

At 6'4" tall and with a physiology that served him perfectly as a basketball player, Joe is the perfect candidate for a custom bike, tall, lean and long reach!
Our first bike together was a custom Parlee Z-Zero with rim brakes, a bike that he keeps riding and getting the most out of it. A few years later we built for Joe a custom FiftyOne with one of the most beautiful paint jobs we have seen.

In this case, Joe wanted to get involved with gravel and put us on the hunt for the perfect bike for him that would not tip the scale since gravel is a new project for Joe.
We analyzed multiple stock bike geometries among our partners and we were pleasantly surprised that the geometry of the new Parlee TAOS would work perfectly for Joe.

Thanks to its short reach and the tall front end the frame provides, we only needed a few spacers under the stem and 110mm stem that would allow Joe to enjoy the geometry designed by the manufacturer without any compromises.

Since the frame is stock and approximately half the price of his custom frames, we were able to build the bike with high-end components. We selected the new SRAM Eagle Transmission group, and we are confident that it will provide a reliable and durable set up. We also chose the new ZIPP 303s XPLR wheelset, along with a 45c tires and carbon cockpit, the bike is not only light but super smooth.

We are so happy to see Joe back with a Parlee and even more happy to see him riding the new TAOS, we are confident he will use it for many years to come!
