This week are featuring Karen’s Mosaic Gt-1 45

This is Karen’s second custom bike with us. As an experienced cyclist and a gravel enthusiast, Karen’s first custom bike was a road bike and it fit her so well and she loves it so much that she simply couldn’t ride her stock gravel bike without thinking how much more fun she would have if her gravel bike fit her better, and also had a style and color that represents her personality properly.

Since she had invested last year in a new Shimano GRX group in preparation for her adventure at Unbound, we just needed a frame that would fit perfectly for the job. Selecting the right material was key, and since each material (carbon, steel, titanium or a blend of both) have their own ride characteristics, we ended up going with Titanium for two reasons: first, it has an amazingly smooth ride quality especially for the gravel it is incredibly compliant but it can also deliver an immediate power transfer to the rear wheel.

Second, the durability of titanium will make it last longer especially for those extreme conditions a gravel event like the Unbound can cause a frame, titanium is just the logical choice for Karen, and after reviewing our custom titanium partners, Mosaic cycles was Karen’s choice, she loved the projects Mosaic has delivered including Abraham’s and Alex’s own Mosaic. She loves the colors their paint lab can produce and she knew they can deliver something that would make her happy.

The paint job was inspired by one of the “Paint Artist Series” Mosaic has done in the past, the White pearl color is the perfect canvas to highlight the multi-color decals along with the pink and purple accents that represent Karen’s style and desire to combine colors without over doing it.

The integration of the frame is also a clean style that makes Karen happy, the ENVE carbon fork, stem and seatpost are painted to make them part of the canvas and bring extra accents of color.

We are extremely happy for Karen and her new custom bike, we could tell that she loved every detail on the bike when we saw that big smile she had when she saw the bike for the first time. We can’t wait to see all the adventures that Karen is going to do with her new bike. Congratulations Karen!
