Luis Fe's FiftyOne Sika

This week, we are excited to feature Luis Fe's new FiftyOne Sika.

We've crafted a selection of dream bikes for Luis Fe, driven by his growing curiosity about new bike technology and his enduring passion for the sport. Each project we undertake aims to serve a specific purpose, providing him with unique experiences that optimize his time on the bike.

When Luis Fe learned about the new FiftyOne Sika, he was thrilled; he already loves his FiftyOne Assassin. He had taken that bike on our trip to Girona, where we enjoyed both road and gravel riding, and he also rode it in Colombia.

The FiftyOne Sika offers Luis Fe a lighter option for his rides. The frame can accommodate tires up to 40c, and for this bike, we opted for 30c tires, which provide him with enhanced grip and stability during the rainy days of winter and spring.

Luis Fe also appreciates a bike that looks great. The Sika's sleek design with fully integrated cables and an eye-catching oil-slick color perfectly aligns with his tastes. To add a splash of color, we sourced one of only 99 made: the Lightweight Obermayer Platinum edition. This wheelset, part of the exclusive "metal trilogy" from the German wheel manufacturer, delivers exceptional riding performance while adding beautiful color to the FiftyOne Sika.

The groupset used for this project is the Shimano Dura-Ace R9270 wireless group. Luis Fe enjoys the quick shifting, precision, and overall performance this Japanese groupset provides. We also collaborated with Ron Jones at Pro Bike Design to custom paint Luis Fe's Ceramic Speed OSPW to match the oil-slick finish of the frame, coordinating it with decals that feature a similar rainbow finish to the FiftyOne logo. This project is filled with top-tier components, all designed to deliver an unparalleled riding experience.
