This week we're featuring Michael's ENVE Fray.
This is Michael's second bike with us at Signature. His first was a Bastion Road and he loved the bike and the fit so much he decided to come back for a new project.
Even though he loves his Bastion, Mike was decidedly not in the market for another bike with custom geometry, but instead was interested in an excellent stock bike that would be comfortable for both long and short rides. With Michael's fit targets, there is not a wide variety of options in the stock market that would work for him. Thankfully, the ENVE Fray fit perfectly with the right selection of components and we were able to make it fit the same as his fully custom Bastion.
This time around he wanted a bit more versatility with regard to tire size options, so the Fray fit the bill perfectly. After going back and forth about wheel options, we settled on the ENVE SES 3.4 for ultimate all-round performance and also because it's hard to beat the look of an ENVE wheelset on an ENVE bike.
Michael loves his Sram Red group on his Bastion, so the Sram Force group seemed an obvious choice for the Fray. The overall reliability, low weight and impressive braking performance make any AXS group an excellent choice for a high-performance bike.
Congratulations to Michael! Thank you for trusting us with another dream bike build!
