Preston's FiftyOne Sika

This week we're excited  to feature Preston's FiftyOne Sika.

Preston is no stranger to Signature Cycles and this is his third dream bike project with us.  Without compromising on comfort, Preston wanted a high performance road bike that could do it all, but also wanted it to be unique.

This time around, Preston drew inspiration from the La Vie Claire team, who's iconic Mondrian style kit was always a striking look.

The La Vie Claire team was created in 1984 by Bernard Tapie and directed by Paul Köchli. The team included five-time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault, and three-time winner Greg LeMond, as well as Andrew Hampsten and the Canadian Steve Bauer.

Preston wanted to pay homage to the team and this beautiful aesthetic without straying too far from the frame's original gloss carbon look.  He also wanted to keep the weight low, so the Mondrian scheme is only present on the seat tube, inner chainstays and fork blades.
