This week’s Bike of the Week is another special project from Seven Cycles, a company that we're always very excited to work with.

Seven is a custom bike manufacturer that needs no introduction. Founded in 1997 by a team that had cut their teeth – and their tubes – with Merlin Metalworks in the early days of the titanium boom, their work has been renowned for many years in the world of custom bikes and their quality stands out. Building bikes one-at-a-time allows them to focus on each rider's specific needs for geometry, comfort, handling, options, materials, aesthetics and long-term versatility – and it also improves quality significantly over a batched building method. Seven is the largest custom bike fabricator in the world, and when you look at their product line, it is easy to see why they are so popular.

This one is Randall's second project with Signature Cycles and as an avid mountain biker, he knew exactly what he wanted. It’s a titanium Sola XX, built for Randall to be equally at home on the beach as it is on the trails – a mix of cruiser and shredder that only custom builders like Seven can get exactly right.

Made from Seven’s Cirrus Ultrabutted tubing, it’s a direct descendant of Mary McConneloug's Sola that Seven built for the 2004 Beijing Olympics and that she kept riding for the next six seasons on the World Cup circuit. A truly legendary hardtail.

However, Randall's Sola XX will live its life as a dedicated singlespeed and it’s equipped with a Gates Carbon Belt Drive. Because the bike is also built for the beach, a belt drive was a wise choice to keep maintenance low and eliminate rust worries. This is also of course why his material of choice for the frame was full titanium.

Rolling on a set of ENVE M7 rims laced to blue-anodized Onyx hubs with Sapim CX-Ray spokes and sporting sizeable 2.8" Terravail Coronado tires, these wheels are going to roll fast on every terrain.

The clean aesthetic with elements of orange – check out the Chris King headset – as well as blue is truly something to behold.

We couldn't be happier for Randall and his new Seven Sola XX and we hope it brings him many joyful miles nailing the berms and chilling on the beach.
