This week we're excited to feature Robert's Colnago C68 Disc.

Robert, the proud owner of a 2004 Colnago C50, loved his bike so much that he contacted us to see if we could get him the new C68 disc version. With a true appreciation for Italian bikes and craftsmanship, Colnago has a special place in Robert’s heart, so we took on the challenge. Providing him with a fabulous new build became our mission, and what a beauty we ended up with.

4 Half 4

Stepping up from the celebrated C64, Colnago makes the C68 100% in its Italian factory, using a lugged construction. The frame is stiff, light, and very comfortable, offering a flawless, responsive ride quality that is complemented by added rigidity in the steering. The frame is also designed to have all cabling internally routed.

Robert is one of those clients that logs hundreds if not thousands of miles, meaning that he has perfected his fit and contact points. He asked us to replicate his position because he loves it so much and we happily obliged, in pursuit of the most optimum set up.

Since his C50 has a mechanical Shimano Dura Ace, he wanted to build the bike with the newest technology available today. We opted for the new Shimano Dura-Ace Wireless 9270 wireless disc, along with the Dura Ace power meter and the new Zipp 404 Firecrest carbon wheelset. An enviable component list, this bike find a perfect balance between comfort and performance.

5 End

We love every detail of this project, from the flag on the seat tube to the Selle Italia saddle and Pirelli Tires. The final product is a real homage to a country famed for its cycling history and appreciated by someone like Robert, who we're sure will enjoy every mile on his new machine.

Thank you, Robert! See you on the road.
