Steve's Parlee Z-Zero XD

This week we're featuring Steve's Parlee Z-Zero XD

Steve came to Signature for a new bicycle that would compliment his riding style and address his needs for comfort and efficiency.  He likes to climb, so he knew he wanted a lightweight platform that would be stiff enough to feel responsive when climbing, but also comfortable enough for a century ride.

When reviewing the data from a thorough fit session, we determined that Steve would benefit from a bike with custom geometry and after carefully weighing a few options, discussing the pros and cons of carbon fiber vs. titanium construction, tire clearance, durability, etc., Steve opted for the Parlee Z-Zero XD.

He envisioned himself riding 28-32mm tires for road use, but wanted to keep his options open for a more all-road configuration.  The Z-Zero XD can clear up to 40mm tires, which gives Steve all the choice he'll ever need when it comes to tire size.

Parlee knows a thing or two about how to fine-tune a frame to suit any rider.  Steve's frame is constructed with superlight tubes for the front triangle paired to a stiff rear triangle for efficient power transfer and rocket-like acceleration.

When it comes to aesthetics, Parlee's wax finish over a combination of unidirectional and 3k weave carbon is a real head-turner.  When paired with dark reflective decals, the frame and logos pop when in the light.
