Vincent's Colnago C68 Road Ti

For this week’s bike of the week we're very proud to feature Vincent's beautiful Colnago C68 Road Ti.

Vincent is an avid rider and local to the area. After a Signature bike fit, he reported averaging one mile per hour faster on a 22-mile route that he does frequently.

So, with his speed, comfort and efficiency on the increase, Vincent was getting Colnago curious and wondered if his fit data could match up with a road bike from the iconic Italian brand. To his excitement, the C68 Road Ti lined up perfectly with his measurements and his riding goals.

The prestige of the C68 Road Ti is unrivaled in the Colnago road line. It combines titanium – the wonder metal – with hand-laid carbon in a unique way. The modular carbon construction is enhanced by the use of 3D-printed titanium joints for absolute precision: these are specifically the joint between the head tube and top tube, and the joint between the top tube and seat post. The different material properties give unique riding sensations and Colnago says the C68 Ti delivers riding pleasure in a class of its own. Vincent would agree that this bike delivers the smoothest ride quality he’s ever experienced.

Additionally, there are upgrades over the previous C64 model that include a larger diameter steerer tube for better steering precision, a T47 bottom bracket shell and a clever multi-tool that’s integrated into the top cap of the stem. And the headset bearings are treated with Ceramic Speed's SLT technology, which virtually cuts out the need for any maintenance during the life of the bike.

Initially Vincent was considering options for his groupset, but after a short discussion the choice was clear. The combination of gloss black and matte black separated by a gold stripe is already a stunningly classy look, but the addition of gold accents on the wheels and in the drivetrain really push it over the edge. And true Colnago cognoscenti will recognise that this color combination harks back to the Colnago C60 gold edition, but we all agree that this version is more aesthetically balanced – and the balanced ride is absolutely unparalleled.
