GLENN'S ARGONAUT RM3

This week, we’re featuring a very special bike from a company that we’re extremely excited to announce our new partnership with. Take a look at Glenn’s new Argonaut RM3, below.

Glenn’s bike marks a stepping stone in our relationship with Bend, Oregon based Argonaut Cycles. We’ve worked in the past with Argonaut to provide clients with a comprehensive bike fit to begin their custom bike building process. Now, we’re officially partnering with them to take that relationship one step further and continue creating the perfect bikes for our customers.

Glenn is one of our dearest clients, located in Staten Island, New York. Previously, Glenn had a custom carbon Parlee Z-Zero made with us, back when we were based in The City. For this build, he was after something just as special, with a different flair to his current bike. Something quick and stiff for speed on the road, but also ultra-comfortable and supple, for longer days in the saddle.

The build is centred around Argonaut’s Carbon RM3 frame, which is available in 12 different sizes (but can be 100% custom if needed.) Every frame is built by hand at Argonaut’s headquarters, and because of the comprehensive range of sizes available, we were able to use a pre-curated frame, meaning a production time of less than 10 weeks! For Argonaut, custom means far more than just unique geometry and custom paint jobs.

Argonaut has patented a molding process that allows for full, unbridled control over angles, lengths and restrictions, to realise the true potential of carbon. This also allows for full control over stiffness in all directions, depending on the physiology and goals of each individual rider. As a result, each bike that comes out of Argonaut’s headquarters is as unique and distinctive as the owners that ride them.

The monochromatic paint job was selected by Glenn himself, a beautiful grey-to-black gradient fade with a gloss finish, complete with bold, white decals. Integrated cabling and a pair of sleek ENVE SES 3.4 rims, combined with a selection of subtle black accessories, make Glenn’s RM3 a clean, sophisticated machine that flies under the radar. A black Dura-Ace crankset and matching black Arundel Mandible bottle cages completes the look.
