This week we are featuring Bill’s new No22 Gravel bike, and this Drifter is a very special one.

Bill is a returning client, having previously asked us to help him create his amazing Parlee Z-Zero Disc, a timelessly classic bike. This time around Bill wanted a bike that he could take on gravel adventures and, after reviewing our portfolio of amazing American manufacturers, he fell in love with the raw finish of the Drifter by No22.

The finished bike has so many special details that Bill was compelled to choose it. With generous clearance of up to 50mm on 650B wheels and road capable geometry, the Drifter is a bike with stable, balanced handling through high speed gravel corners, but with quick enough responses to be ridden aggressively on-road.

The raw, unfinished Titanium is a testament to the quality of the build — there is no hiding place here. You can see the craftsmanship in every weld and each small detail.

At a diminutive 4’9, Bill’s need for a custom bike is clear, which is why we used a 650b wheelset with a 38c tire. This provides him with the perfect inseam clearance, bike handling and stability. We opted for the Shimano GRX Di2 group because of Bill’s love of Shimano shifting on his road bike. However, we used the Rotor crank set with a 165mm crank arm to optimize his position and power transfer on the road.

In Bill’s Words

I just received my second bike from Signature Cycles. This No22 Titanium gravel bike provides a great compliment to my Parlee Z Zero XD.

I had a general idea of what I wanted when I began discussing the possibilities with Abraham. This is my first experience with a Titanium frame. Abraham followed my broad requirements and then made several crucial suggestions that I would never have come up with on my own.

During the design/build process everybody at Signature Cycles offered valuable comments and explanations. The whole staff is enthusiastically committed to building the highest quality individualized bicycles and providing excellent customer service.

The actual physical building and later service is performed by highly skilled detail oriented bike mechanics, so your bike is always in the best hands at Signature.

My new No22 is a thrill to ride. I am so pleased!
